Built with React and Vite and written in TypeScript, this progressive web app combines best-in-class technologies like Tailwind CSS for styling and Supabase for backend services such as authentication, secure data storage, and real-time sync. It supports POS terminal, product and inventory management, vendor bills and payments, accounting reports, offline queuing, barcode scanning, multi-language and theming, role-based admin panels, and shadcn-ui for a modern UI.

Problem Statement
Building a true offline-first POS system was the core challenge, as many target stores operate with unstable or no internet connectivity, yet still require uninterrupted billing and inventory tracking. Standard browser-based POS systems do not support silent printing, making them impractical for real-world retail counters where speed and discretion are critical. The system needed to run across both web and desktop POS terminals from a single codebase, while still accessing native hardware features like printers.
Solutions
Propelius designed a local print service architecture that enables silent receipt printing by directly accessing system-level printers, bypassing browser limitations entirely. Implemented a true offline-first data layer using IndexedDB, allowing billing, inventory, and user actions to continue seamlessly during connectivity loss. Built a resilient sync queue mechanism that safely batches and syncs offline transactions once the internet is restored, preventing data conflicts or loss.
